His Word

When God created the heavens and the earth, it was with one word from His mouth. He spoke – and out of nothing, came something. The very word "universe" describes this event, because literally translated it means "one word".

No matter how incredible the universe is, everything we can see is temporary by its very nature. The One who spoke the word, however, is eternal.

The Bible says this:  "All men are like grass and all their glory like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever." 1 Peter 1:24,25 and Isaiah 40:6-8

All through the ages, God has been giving His word to us in the scriptures. The Bible says:   "God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. For in Him, we live and move and have our being." Acts 17:27, 28

From the very beginning, the Bible is filled with the promises of God – promises of His love for us, His deep concern over our lives, promises to rescue us and restore us to the hope and future that He always had planned for us. And all through the Bible, God demonstrates His will and power to act and fulfill every promise He has made.
